-- Usually, I work in oil and gas as a title abstracter, but during a mandatory hiatus, I picked up a second mode of employment -- overnight awake staff of a home for troubled teenage boys -- which is what I'm doing now.
-- I am just starting to regain my voice, as far as standing up for myself is concerned. It feels good to be growing in that way.
-- I think about sex probably way more than I should. Hell, generally, I probably think more than I should. I am also guilty of over-analyzing, but I blame that on my Libran penchant for justice and balance.
-- I love spelling and grammar, but I do not claim to be perfect. Common grammar/spelling mistakes get under my skin, though. Just say no to "your" when you mean "you're."
-- Yes, intelligence is sexy.
-- There are many things in my life that I am comfortable talking about in a public forum because I am not ashamed of these things or afraid that I will be hurt by a misjudgment. This is probably dependent on my audience. If my ability to speak openly about somewhat taboo subject matter bothers you, this is probably not the journal for you.
That being said, I welcome differing opinions and debate but no drama, please.

martyrsdescent. We've been together since 9.14.2001, and he means the world to me. Without him, I don't know what sort of person I would have become. We have a seven-year-old son Trenton who has always encouraged me to be a better person and who fills my life with an energy that may otherwise seem missing.

I left those journals due to many bad memories, unworthy people checking in on me and just...overall growth. A lot has changed in the past eight years, especially what I consider to be important.
All writers are at least a little mad; I am no different.

I quit smoking after 7.25 years.

I still have the personality of a smoker, which is something that will never change. I suppose I'll have to indulge my oral fixation in other ways. My lungs and heart will thank me.
Musical genres that I most enjoy: Goth, punk, industrial, post-punk, psychobilly, metal (various), alternative, horrorpunk, deathrock, synthpop, new wave, electronica.
